Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach me at bendinglines.art@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Before getting your new tattoo, there are essential processes to prepare yourself. From cleanliness to personal care, these steps ensure a smooth and successful tattoo experience, more details HERE

Maintaining healthy habits after a tattoo session ensures proper healing, preserves the colours and quality of your tattoo, prevents itching and discomfort, minimises the risk of infection and helps you proudly display your artwork for years to come. Here are some aftercare tips and recommendations on what to avoid during the healing process, more details HERE

Walk ins are welcome but bookings are highly encouraged! Booking an appointment for a tattoo session is crucial to ensure you get the design you want and enough time allocated for the session. It allows for design consultation, helps with planning, prepares you for the session, respects the artist's time, and minimises wait times. Please contact me in advance to discuss your ideas, and arrange a date for your tattoo.

Keep it small and intimate. When you book your tattoo appointment, it's best to go alone or bring just one friend with you if that'll make you feel more comfortable . Shops usually  have limited space, and bringing a group can be challenging. Plus, your friends might find it boring to wait while you get inked and there's a possibility of disrupting the session if there's not enough space.

Tattoos can be a bit painful, but hey, it's a small price to pay for wearing art that lasts a lifetime! Plus, it's a pain that most people find totally bearable and it'll really depend on placement, size and complexity of design.

Unfortunately, it's a no-go to get tattooed while on antibiotics. Your body is already busy battling an infection, and introducing more foreign substances increases the risk of additional infections. Antibiotics can also interfere with the healing process of your tattoo since they flush out foreign antibodies, which is exactly what tattoo pigment is. To ensure a proper healing process, medical professionals recommend being off antibiotics for at least one week before getting inked. If you have any further questions please consult your doctor.

If the area to be tattooed is particularly hairy, you can trim it the night before. But don't worry if you're not comfortable doing it yourself, the artist can take care of it. This helps ensure that your skin isn't overly sensitive during the session and prevents any unnecessary discomfort or redness.

Scars can be worked with when getting a tattoo, but it really depends on a few factors like how old or damaged the injury is. So, the best thing to do in this situation is to have a chat with your tattoo artist and get their advice.

All the inks and other products that are used for your tattoo are non-toxic, vegan, and cruelty-free. We prioritize the use of high-quality, ethical products. If you have any specific concerns about the components or brands we use, please feel free to reach out via email.
